KiA Winqvist - With Cursive - paintings and view boxes
20.02. - 07.03.2010
Apila, 21x30, grafiikka, 2006
It's wonderful to be taken over by inspiration, to paint the inner self to a canvas or to tinker with hands view boxes or to perhaps sow a cloth bag with a sowing machine. To plan and to create an exhibition around finished works of art. That's what being an artist is at its best.
At worst it is when you can't see the images in your head nor they won't come to the dreams. Feeling that art has abandoned me forever. No money to buy neither canvases nor paints. No place where to paint. One starts to wonder if this makes any sense at all.
By reaching fifty years I have somehow already learned to tolerate those bad moments, knowing that the images will appear again. Right now I am in that expectating state, which will bring something new. Something that I also don't know anything about. How interesting this is.
Works from the past are presented in Galleria Nunes. Artist will be there during the opening hours and will gladly exchange thoughts with you.
