The gallery offers two exhibition rooms with white walls and ceiling. The floor is light wooden floor. Both rooms feature movable spots and from the windows comes natural daylight also.

The overall floor space of the rooms is 62,5m2 and the walls offer exhibition space of 35m in overall length and 3m in height.

The usual length of an exhibition is three weeks, but other durations can be accommodated. Construction and dismantling are included in the exhibition time.

The rent includes

  • printing of invitations and posters
  • Posting of over 400 invitations to the gallery's guest list
  • Sendind a press release to the media and cultural institutions
  • Entering details of the exhibition in event calendars in Taide-lehti, Galleriaopas and on the Gallery Nunes's website www.galleria-nunes.com
  • Distribution of posters around the centre of Helsinki
  • Refresments, red and white wine as well as some appetizers and orderves at the opening coctail.
  • Supervision of the exhibition during opening hours and cleaning up

The artists responsibilities include

  • Transporting and handling of the artworks
  • Assisting in hanging and dismantling the exhibition
  • Hanging materials and other equipment. The gallery has a set of basic tools.
  • Composing a press release. The press release will be posted on Gallery Nunes's website well in advance of the exhibition and sent out to other media before the invitations ares posted.
  • Possible insurance: the gallery does not insure works of art!
  • Ensuring that the gallery is left in the same condition it was found in by 17:00 in the last day of the exhibition.

Cancellations

If either the artist or the gallery cancels an exhibition, the party responsible for the cancellation is commetted to reimbursing the other party according to agreement.

Applying for an exhibition time-slot

A free-form application shoud include:

  • An exhibition plan: what the exhibition contains (paintings, sculptures, photographts, etc)
  • A resume/CV
  • Pictorial material: slides, Cds or paper pictures, and other information about the pieces: materials and methods used, the sizes of the pieces, and the date of completion.
  • If the exhibition pieces are unfinished, show us pictures of earlier works.
